Before beginning the required appraisal apprenticeship, you must complete at least 45 hours of state-approved education. 15 of those hours must be the USPAP course.

Appraisal Continuing Education
Current Pennsylvania appraisers have until June 30, 2009 to complete 28 hours of state-approved continuing education. A minimum of seven (7) hours must cover "Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice," and a minimum of two (2) hours must cover the Real Estate Appraisers Certification Act.
