All classes on this page are approved for CE for PA real estate licensees.

IMPORTANT UPDATE ON CONTINUING EDUCATION FOR THE 2016-18 RENEWAL

The Commission implemented a new policy requiring that all licensees take at least three hours of continuing education during the 2016-2018 renewal in topics related to commission rules and regulations.  RAMP’s education staff stayed on top of this new requirement and developed a 3.5 hour “Required Rules and Regulations” continuing education course, taught by top instructors well-versed in Regulation.  Select one of the classes and register today!  New agents or those in their first continuing education renewal cycle who are required to complete the mandatory new agent courses, are exempt from this requirement.

All licensees should have received an email from the Commission notifying them of this change.

Agents who received their licenses after Dec. 1, 2015 or are taking continuing education for the FIRST TIME in Pennsylvania, are required to take 2 classes (a total of 14 hours) of continuing education in specific, mandatory commission-developed "New Agent" courses. 

1.)  Mandatory General Module (7 hours)
2.)  New Agent elective (7 hours)
    a.) New Agent Residential elective (7 hours)
                                   OR
    b.) New Agent Commercial elective (7 hours)

 These courses will be added to the schedule starting Fall, 2017. These licensees are exempt from the required 3 hours in Rules and Regulations.

Transcript Information

NOTE: The Real Estate Commission does not require students to submit education transcripts at the time of applying for license renewal. You do not need a transcript to renew your license.  If you want a copy for your records, there is a $10 charge.

In the event the Commission randomly select you for a compliance audit, you may be asked to furnish transcripts to verify the affidavit you signed on your renewal application swearing that you had completed 14 hours of approved classes.  If you require a transcript during the audit process, please email us at dawnp@realtorspgh.com.  One free transcript will be emailed to you for your audit.

This course will begin with an overview of housing trends and construction terminology. You’ll then walk step-by-step through the mazes of zoning, building codes, excavation, financing, and mechanical systems.This is a 2 credit Broker class. If you have not experienced selling new construction this is a great class to learn all about the new construction process. Your instructor, Keith Scheidemantle is an experienced builder with over 30 years in the business.

All REALTORS® are required by the National Association of REALTORS® to complete Ethics training every two years. The current biennial cycle will end Dec. 31, 2018.
