QUALITATIVE QUOTES & BACKGROUND INFO

Through Jim Bindschadler, our association's executive vice president and principal spokesperson, we tap the knowledge of our 2,200 members and their "in the trenches" view of real estate trends in and around Allegheny County. From the latest national housing trends to the story about Tudor architecture in Shadyside, we have the resources and expertise to provide insightful content for your article or broadcast. When we don't, we'll help you find a source who does.

QUANTITATIVE STATISTICS

Although we're a frequent go-to source for contextualizing information about local housing trends, we do not collect, maintain, or report statistics about home sales, house values, etc. In Western Pennsylvania, there are two principal providers of this information:
    • West Penn Multi-List, which tracks the transactions (listings, sales, closings) assisted by real estate agents in 13 Western Pennsylvania counties. Contact executive vice president Barbara Kohl at (412) 367-5860.
    • RealStats, a private data company that tracks real estate sales based on deed transfers filed at five regional county courthouses. Contact company president Dan Murrer at (412) 381-3880.

ABOUT OUR ASSOCIATION
