RAMP installs 2008 team of officers
The 2,800-member Realtors Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh will inaugurate its 2008 officers in a ceremony Feb. 1 at the Westin Convention Center Hotel, 1000 Penn Ave., Downtown. The event begins at 5:30 p.m., and tickets are available at www.realtorspgh.com or by calling (412) 563-5200.
Anthony J. Mete, manager of Prudential Preferred Realty’s North Hills office, will be sworn in as president. During his 34-year real estate career, Mr. Mete’s service to RAMP has included roles as secretary-treasurer, strategic planning chairman, and political fundraising director. He is a former mathematics teacher and a founding developer of Nevillewood, the region’s first high-end golf community. In addition to his management career, Mr. Mete specialized in the sale of new construction and was the association’s top seller in that category in 1991.
Paul F. Culley, broker/owner of RE/MAX Select Realty, will be installed as president-elect. In this capacity, he will serve as the association’s strategic planning director while forming a leadership plan for his own presidency in 2009. Mr. Culley joined the association in 1983 and has served multiple terms on its board of directors.
Bebe English, managing broker of the Howard Hanna Real Estate Services office in Squirrel Hill, will take office as secretary-treasurer. Prior to her career in Pittsburgh, she was a Realtor and broker in Florida, where she served as vice president of the Realtors Association of the Palm Beaches. Ms. English also was regional president of a Florida bank and has extensive experience in the mortgage industry. Currently, she serves on the board of directors at the Squirrel Hill Business and Professional Association.
