The purpose of the Education Grant Program is to foster professional development within the real estate industry and, in so doing, benefit the consumer. The RAMP Foundation does this by offering grants to help defray the cost of courses approved for a broker license and REALTOR® designation courses. These are reimbursement grants and are paid once the courses are completed. Since 2006, the RAMP Foundation has awarded 51 grants. The Education Grant Program was revised in 2010 for the 2011 grant program, so that the grant year coincides with the calendar year. Grant recipients were selected before the grant year began to give recipients the full calendar year to select suitable course offerings and complete the coursework. Reimbursements will be paid during 2011 as grant recipients submit evidence of expenditures and completion of the courses.
