LENDING A HAND

The REALTORS® Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh Foundation was formed in 1992 exclusively for charitable, educational, literary, and scientific purposes. It was organized under the Pennsylvania Non-Profit Corporation law and is qualified as an exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

We are a community of REALTORS® coming together to share resources and talent to help one another for the benefit of the real estate industry and the community at large. The RAMP Foundation operates the Education Grant Program and the REALTOR® Relief Fund and also participates with other not-for-profit organizations to help support charitable endeavors.

The RAMP Foundation is totally dependent on donations to support its programs. As a qualifying exempt organization, contributions to “help us help others” are charitable donations. Learn more by reading our downloadable brochure.

HELPING OUT IN TIMES OF NEED

REALTOR® Relief Fund

The REALTOR® Relief Fund is administered by the RAMP Foundation to provide temporary aid to real estate licensees  in the Pittsburgh area. The purpose of the program is to help bridge the gap between need and available resources in times of crisis so that a licensee can maintain a livelihood and/or provide for the immediate family.

The relief fund is a needs-based program that assists licensees without regard to the real estate specialty or nature of the licensed activities in which they are engaged, regardless of whether or not they are REALTORS®. Competitive interests pale in comparison to the toll of physical, emotional, and financial hardship in times of crisis. Learn more by reading our downloadable brochure.

How to Apply for Aid

Requests for assistance shall be made to the REALTORS® Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh Foundation simply by calling (412) 563-5200.

A licensee or anyone knowing of a licensee in crisis may initiate a request for assistance. All requests shall be kept in strictest confidence, unless an applicant authorizes the situation to become common knowledge.

RAMP Foundation announces 2012 education grant recipients.

The purpose of the Education Grant Program is to foster professional development within the real estate industry and, in so doing, benefit the consumer. The RAMP Foundation does this by offering grants to help defray the cost of courses approved  for  a broker license and REALTOR® designation courses. These are reimbursement grants and are paid once the courses are completed. Since 2006, the RAMP Foundation has awarded 60 grants.

The Education Grant Program was revised in 2010 for the 2011 grant program, so that the grant year coincides with the calendar year. Grant recipients were selected before the grant year began to give recipients the full calendar year to select suitable course offerings and complete the coursework. Reimbursements will be paid during 2012 as grant recipients submit evidence of expenditures and completion of the courses. The grant year ends with the calendar year, which means that all grant requirements must be fulfilled by year-end.
