The NFIP was created to provide incentives for communities to rebuild to higher standards and steer development away from flood zones. In exchange, communities gain access to flood maps, mitigation assistance and subsidized insurance to prepay for future damage and recover more quickly from flooding. The National Flood Insurance Program expires September 30, 2017.
DID YOU KNOW a lapse in the National Flood Insurance Program will impact 40,000 property sales per month nationwide?
The National Association of REALTORS® has launched a massive Call-For-Action for members and consumers to contact their representative in Congress. RAMP is supporting this CFA and urge you to respond quickly. Congress will only be in session for twelve (12) days before the date of the expiration: September 30th. The sooner they hear our voices, the more impact we will have on their decision.
Please take two minutes to respond to the Call-For-Action.
