Winter Clothing Drive Nets Warmth For Local Needy

Community Service Campaign Benefits Two Organizations

Part of the REALTORS® Reaching Out campaign, the Community Service Committee of RAMP collected donated hats, gloves, scarves, and socks to benefit those in need.

A barrel sits at the RAMP offices in the South Hills, this is where many members have dropped off their donated items. The barrel also was visible at R-E Day this year awaiting donations from attendees. This is the third year that the Community Service Committee has undertaken this clothing drive. And, for the second consecutive year, the items were donated to the Shepherd's Heart Veteran's Home and WomanSpace East. Members of the committee dropped off the donated items at both organizations on November 2nd.

There were many items that were knitted or crocheted by our own members. Past President Mary Lynne Deets was quite prolific in knitting items and filling the barrel each time she visited the RAMP offices.

Thank you to all members who contributed to the clothing drive. We received a great amount of donations and are very appreciative.
