Everyone knows a veteran and it is a good bet that it is someone very close to you. How would you feel if that veteran faced issues that result in homelessness? Thankfully, there are organizations that do their best to assist those veterans. Locally, one of those organizations is the Veterans Place of Washington Boulevard. The Veterans Place employees and volunteers are dedicated to getting those veterans back on their feet and in a home. They have programs that help vets in many situations. One program that has captured the attention of RAMP is the "Tiny Homes Community" being built in the Penn Hills area. We are happy to assist with the Veterans Place to help with fundraising and other needs.
On October 24th, the Affiliate Committee hosted a social event that benefited the Veterans Place. More than 40 guests were invited to tour the Wigle Whiskey Barrelhouse in the Spring Garden neighborhood. They were treated to a tasting of whiskey samples and a specially created cocktail from Wigle Whiskey. It was a great evening of fun and networking bringing together REALTORS and Affiliate Partners from many different areas. The Veterans Place will receive over $750 from the proceeds of the event. Thank you to all who attended.
