The Richard J. Stampahar REALTOR® Active in Politics Award
Helen Hanna Casey, CEO of Howard Hanna Real Estate Services, was the recipient of the award that recognizes REALTORS® that are politically active in local, state or national issues that affect the real estate industry. Mrs. Casey and her family have been politically active on all levels for many years. In 2017, Helen was particularly active at the National Association of REALTORS®.
Lifetime Achievement Award
The Lifetime Achievement Award is designated for a recipient who has been a member of RAMP for more than 25 years and is dedicated to the betterment of the industry. We have two honorees for 2017. First, Elaine Kirsch is known as a long-time real estate appraiser and educator. She has been active throughout the years on RAMP committees and the Board of Directors. Elaine remembers when meetings and events were open to men only. Ms. Kirsch is active with the Appraisal Institute serving on their committees and as a past president.
Our second honoree is Carol Palomera. Ms. Palomera is retiring as a vice president at Northwood Realty Services. Over her 40 plus years in real estate she has been a mentor, a leader and a political advocate. Carol served multiple terms on the RAMP Board of Directors, as well as, a PAR director and several PAR committees.

was honored for her leadership in the industry. Carol could be counted on to participate in RAMP events year after year. We are fortunate to have had Carol be a champion for the Association and its members. Our best wishes to Ms. Palomera in her retirement.
Community Service Award
A "dynamic duo" were honored with the Community Service Award. Bill Russo and Alice Vaday served as co-chairs of RAMP's Community Service Committee for the past few years. Their work to rebuild the committee helped it grow into one of the most active groups at RAMP. They successfully launched the following initiatives: Curb Appeal Day, Career Day (with the Boys & Girls Clubs) and the collection drive for hats, scarves, gloves, and socks for the homeless. Thank you to both for their time and energy.
Affiliate of the Year Award
The recipient of the Affiliate of the Year award is known for being a great presenter. John Naumann has taught seminars about "mold remediation" and actually made them entertaining. Mr. Naumann, Operations Director for Green Home Solutions of Greater Pittsburgh, has been enthusiastic in participating in Affiliate Committee activities. The Association is thankful to have Affiliate members like John as a resource for knowledge and service.
RAMP EVP John Petrack, 2016 Affiliate of the Year Anthony DeLuca (Victorian Finance) and
2017 Affiliate of the Year John Naumann of Green Home Solutions of Greater Pittsburgh.
Congratulations to all of the honorees. If you know of someone that is deserving of being recognized, be sure to nominate them.
