Jeff Zirngibl
The Allegheny County Board of Property Assessment Appeals and Review (“Bpaar”) seeks qualified individuals to serve as Commercial Hearing Officers for property tax appeals for commercial and complex multi-family properties. Commercial Hearing Officers are engaged as independent contractors to conduct property assessment appeal hearings and make valuation recommendations to Bpaar. Commercial Hearing Officers receive a $300.00 per diem payment and are permitted to work, as needed, and depending on their availability. Applicants for this position must be currently certified as Pennsylvania General Appraisers or have equivalent professional appraisal experience.
